The Faridkot Bathinda Kshetriya Gramin Bank was sponsored by Punjab and Sind Bank which was established on 22-3-1986 under the Act of RRB 1976 and the sub section 1 and section 3. The bank was later named as Sutlej Gramin Bank which operates on 30 branches. They are associated with jurisdiction along with six districts like Bathinda, Mansa, Faridkot, Moga, Makassar and Ludhiana.

The SGB offers various features to the farmers and the general people of rural areas that include- Kisan credit card scheme, rural gold credit cards, loans for construction, repair, agriculture, book debt limits to arthiyas, loan for small scale industries, cash credit limit, for salaried person, loan against property, loan against agriculture, loan under SSC scheme and loan indebted to money lenders. The bank objective is to develop banking habits in the rural areas that has been done by opening “No Frill” account along with this the bank is depositing the fund of the people in different deposit accounts like saving account, current account, fixed deposit, recurring account and nomination facilities are also provided.
