Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank is a regional rural bank in India. It was established in 2006 as a Scheduled Commercial Bank as per Regional Rural Banks Act of 1976 to provide banking facilities in Rayalaseema region. The Bank is headquartered at Kadapa and presently its area of operation is extended to 5 districts of Andhra Pradesh state. Three banks, Rayalaseema Grameena Bank, Sri Anantha Grameena Bank and Pinakini Grameena Bank were merged to form Andhra Pragathi Grameena Bank. The bank caters to the rural poor in one of the most backward region of Andhra Pradesh state.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India. In 2011, IBPS announced a common written examination (CWE) for the selection Officers and Clerks in Indian banks. IBPS CWE is now mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 20 public sector and Regional Rural banks. IBPS provides the common written test.
