Post Details


[a] Matriculation or equivalent.

[b] Two years Diploma in Draftsmanship or its equivalent.

[c] One year experience in the relevant field is desirable.

[d] Candidate must have completed apprenticeship of at least Three-Years Naval/ Marine/ Electrical/Mechanical/ Structural/ Workshop/ Civil Engg. Drawing Office or Naval Architecture Ship Construction.

Selection Procedure

[a] Application must be submitted BY ORDINARY POST ONLY.

[b] Application sent by Speed/Registered Post/Courier will not be Entertained.

[c] Application which are not in the prescribed format/without the required certificates duly attested/without photographs/without signature of the candidate, will be summarily rejected.

[d] The Envelope containing the Application must be Super-scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF”.

[e] Initial place of posting at Kolkata and transferable anywhere in India.

[f] Only Short-listed Candidates would be called for Written Test/Trade Test(Practicals)/Interview.

[g] The Decision of the Commander regarding Selection/Rejection of the Application is Final and no Correspondence will be Entertained in this regard.

[h] Objective Type Question in subject related to the relevant trade including General Awareness and Arithmetic. Written test/interview/trade test (practicals where stipulated).

[i] Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any Influence, Political or otherwise will Automatically Disqualify the Candidate for the Post.
